The problem
If you have a Samsung Galaxy S phone, you probably are aware of it, the last official Gingerbread 2.3.7 update was in 2011. Since then, many ships were left out ... or ICS, not Jelly Bean, and the latest releases are more advanced than the old ones. The cooked ROMs solve the problem, but must be aware of the fact that these are not official release, problems may occur.
Previously, I wrote an ICS ROM to install , but recently I tried a version 4.2 Jelly Bean cooked ROM that works better for me. Below I will present this to the installation of a Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 model.
It is important to only apply to the Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 model the following! I do not take any responsibility for any damages that may arise!

Preparations
- He went off all the important data from your phone (contacts, sms, photos, music, etc. ..). Do the KIES is used to save, because it is achieved only official ROMs from Samsung!
- Level of the phone battery is at least 80%.
- It does not hurt if you have root access on your phone, and the need for the existence of ClockworkMod Recovery.
- Download the latest Jelly Bean 4.2 ROM cent, which is located at the very bottom. The installer file name: galaxysmtd_aosp_jb42_20121209.zip and you do not need to unpack!
- Fill it with the Google apps package . In the list that appears, choose the file where Andorid version 4.2.x is shown! Otherwise, the program will not work correctly. File name: gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip and I do not have to unpack!
The installation
- Connect your phone to your computer via a USB cable.
- Copy the internal SD card of the two downloaded zip file (zip files can not be unpacked!). Tip: To copy the files under the root directory, then later have to find a lot.
- Reboot your phone in ClockworkMod Recovery mode. There are two possibilities:
- If you have installed CWM program, you can restart it using the phone's recovery mode.
- If not, turn off your phone, press and hold the volume up, the middle and the Power button simultaneously.
- To navigate the recovery volume buttons to select the middle button is used.
- If you started the recovery, select wipe data / factory reset option.
- Then select the option to Wipe cache partition.
- The ROM install, select install zip from sdcard, then choose zip from within this sdcard option. The folder structure that appears, locate and then select the 4.2 Jelly Bean OS on taratalmazó galaxysmtd_aosp_jb42_20121209.zip package, then select Yes and wait for the installation process.
- When installation is done, you can install package of Google apps. If you're not a recovery, it is the same way we bring it on. Here you can select install zip from sdcard, then choose zip from within this sdcard option. Then select the gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip package, then the yes option and wait.
- If you do not restart the phone itself, the recovery of this can be done by choosing reboot system now. The first departure can take up to 5 minutes, it was still perform configurations on the phone.
Potential problems
- If something is not working well might, or screwed up the installation, repeat the above steps.
- If the installation is constantly reboot the phone (boot loop), you can take out my battery and put it back after a while. Recovery mode, then re-start the unit and the installation can be repeated.
- If you have any freezes during installation, remove the battery to. Very good read, pick out safely. Then Go through the installation process again.
- If you succeed after several attempts, then put it back in the original Gingerbread ROM was.
